Workshops

Get creative at Haus Kunst Mitte: Workshops for everyone/ Experience and create art

Our workshops offer you the opportunity to experience art in an active and creative way - whether for schools, universities, companies, senior citizens or other interested parties. The focus is not only on the works of art in the exhibition - all participants also have the opportunity to get creative themselves. We organise the content in an age-appropriate and topic-specific way, tailored to the individual needs of your group. We look forward to discussing the details with you and developing customised workshop offers.

Workshops for schools

Age-appropriate programmes for children and young people

We create spaces in which pupils can not only view art, but also create and experience it. In conjunction with our exhibitions, we offer workshops on topics such as:

  • Art and encounters: How do we meet through art?

With exercises such as collaborative drawing or portrait sketches, pupils develop a large group picture. The focus is on the diversity and uniqueness of each group.

  • Art and history: Where I come from - Where I'm going

How does the past shape us, and how do we shape our future? Stencil printing, assemblages and other techniques are used to create visual stories that connect personal and collective memories.

  • Art and language: How does a picture sound?

Using creative methods such as word associations, sound collages and visual poetry, students discover the connection between art and language.

Your workshop leader: Basia Włoszczyk

The workshops are led by Basia Włoszczyk (M.A. in Art Education). As an outreach curator at Haus Kunst Mitte, she develops educational projects for various target groups and knows how to introduce people to art in a creative way. With many years of experience in intercultural and inclusive projects, she has already realised numerous formats in Germany, Poland and Portugal. She always focusses on the unifying power of art. She designs workshops that cater to the special needs of people with difficult access to cultural education and encourages all participants to creatively contribute their own perspectives.
