Haus Kunst Mitte honours Rebecca Fontaine-Wolf with her first solo exhibition in Berlin. Titled FLESH & THE MIRROR – The Self-Image of Rebecca Fontaine-Wolf, the exhibition showcases a series of works from the past four years, distinguished by innovative imagery and a unique technique.

As a British-German artist now based in Portugal, Fontaine-Wolf challenges conventional views on gender, sexuality, and identity. Her art exposes and deconstructs the portrayal of women in art, advertising, cinema, and media.

Fontaine-Wolf honors her personal experiences while remaining open to other perceptions and observations. Her work embodies an openness that, while not aiming to prove specific theses, remains inherently political. Her practice firmly situates the 42-year-old artist within the realm of 21st-century feminist art.
